Women's Basketball: WVU at Duquesne

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University’s women’s basketball team (2-1) travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for its second straight road game to take on the Duquesne Dukes (4-0), Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. at A.J. Palumbo Center.
West Virginia and Duquesne will be meeting for the 41st time in a series that began in 1977. WVU leads the series by a 33-7 count, has won nine straight against the Dukes and four in a row at A.J. Palumbo Center.
West Virginia is led by junior all-BIG EAST guard Liz Repella, who was named to the Preseason WNIT all-tournament team, after leading the team with 17.7 points per game. Freshman center Asya Bussie is second on the team with 12 points and 7 rebounds per contest while redshirt junior Vanessa House comes off the bench, averaging 10 points and three steals per game.
Duquesne has four players that are averaging double figures in scoring, led by sophomore forward Alex Gensler’s 16.3 points per contest. Junior forward Kelly Britcher and Morgantown native Keri Pryor both average 12.5 points per contest. As a team, Duquesne is averaging 81.8 points per game and shooting 52.3% (123-235) from the field.
The contest will be broadcast on MSN women’s basketball affiliated stations with play-by-play announcer Travis Jones on the call.
