“I truly feel like we gave a complete team effort across the board,” comments Coach Sean Cleary. “We have a long way to go, but I am far more excited than I was seven days ago about the prospects of this team this winter.”
Junior April Rotilio placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.38, a BIG EAST and ECAC qualifying time, while sophomore Chelsea Carrier finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.54, a season-best.
Both Christopher and Rotilio’s marks are personal, lifetime bests.
In the field events, Alexandra Acker hit a season-high 3.60-meter in the pole vault event, while Katelyn Williams jumped 1.70-meters in the high jump for a second place finish. Both are BIG EAST qualifying marks.
The distance medley team of Jamie Cokeley, Nicole De Stefano, Alison Spiker and Karly Hamric took first place with a time of 11:57.59, while the 4x400 relay team of Jordann Mitchell , Carrier, Rotilio, and Williams placed sixth (3:54.36).
