Women's Soccer: WVU Cracks Top 10

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team cracked the Top 10 in two rankings following a 1-0-1 effort last week.
The Mountaineers checked in at No. 9 in the latest Soccer Buzz poll and moved up to No. 10 in the Soccer America poll. The Mountaineers, unbeaten in their last nine contests (6-0-3), fell two spots to No. 13 in today’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas poll.
The No. 9 ranking is also West Virginia’s 101st time ranked by Soccer Buzz in the program’s 13-year history.
West Virginia (7-1-3, 2-0-1) resumes BIG EAST play with a two-game road trip, beginning with Seton Hall (4-5-1, 0-3-0) on Friday, Oct. 3. The Mountaineers then battle Rutgers (7-3-0, 2-1-0) on Sunday, Oct. 5.
