Volleyball: Mountaineers Fall to Villanova

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to BIG EAST foe Villanova today at the Jake Nevin Fieldhouse in Villanova, Pa.
The Mountaineers dropped to 5-8, 0-2 on the season after the Wildcats (9-6, 1-1) took the victory, 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-18).
Freshman setter Kari Post led the Mountaineers as she recorded 21 assists, nine digs and three service aces on the day. Freshman outside hitter Kylie Armbruster added eight kills and six digs for the Mountaineers, while sophomore Bonnie West posted 13 digs.
The Mountaineers BIG EAST home opener is scheduled for next weekend as they host Georgetown in a 7 p.m. match on Friday, Oct. 3, and USF in a 2 p.m. match on Sunday, Oct. 5.
