Football: Villanova Award Winners

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding play in the 48-21 win over Villanova this past Saturday.

Offensive Champion – Pat White; Defensive Champion – None; Special Teams Champion – Pat McAfee; Offensive Scout Champion – Jordan Roberts; Defensive Scout Champion – Joe Rhein; Special Teams Scout Champion – None; Hammer Award – None.

The Mountaineers (No. 8 USA Today Coaches Poll/No. 8 AP) (1-0) travel to Greenville, N.C., this Saturday, Sept. 6, to face East Carolina (1-0) at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium (43,000) at 4:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
