Volleyball: Mountaineers Fall Season Opener

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to Boston College in its season opener today at the Colgate Classic in Hamilton, N.Y.

“It was a typical first game, I think we made some mistakes but came back in the second game from way behind and showed some potential,” Head Coach Veronica Hammersmith said. “We have some things that we need to do better and hopefully we can do that in tomorrow’s matches.”

The Eagles defeated the Mountaineers, 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 25-20).

Up next, the Mountaineers face tournament host Colgate at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Cotterell Court.
