Women’s Soccer: Promotional Days Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – With the season-opener against Towson rapidly approaching, West Virginia officials are planning several promotional days this fall for the 12th-ranked Mountaineer women’s soccer team.
Three matches have been designated as “Dollar Days” with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for purchase for just one dollar. The following games are scheduled for “Dollar Days” – Sept. 11 vs. Kentucky, 8 p.m.; Sept. 21 vs. Virginia, 2 p.m.; Oct. 19 vs. Villanova, 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers will also have a Chick-fil-A Coloring Sheet Night on Friday, Oct. 10. All children ages 13 and under will gain free admission with a completed coloring sheet courtesy of Chick-fil-A at Morgantown Mall as WVU battles Providence at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 12 is Breast Cancer Awareness Day when the Mountaineers take on BIG EAST foe Connecticut at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink as the WVU coaching staff makes a check presentation to the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
Members of the WVU Parents Club will receive a coupon for one dollar admission into a pair of soccer matches – Oct. 17 vs. Georgetown and Oct. 19 vs. Villanova – as part of the 2008 Fall Family Weekend.
The Mountaineers return seven starters this season as they look to defend their BIG EAST regular season and tournament titles. Izzo-Brown begins her 13th season in charge of the Mountaineers and has led her teams to eight straight NCAA tournament appearances.
