MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Two years ago the Big East negotiated one of the most lucrative television packages in league history. This year the league’s hard work finally kicks in.
ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC will carry a minimum of 19 Big East home games each season making this the highest guaranteed total of TV appearances on ESPN and ABC in conference history.
In addition to games being carried on the ESPN family of networks, the conference will also have a number of contests appearing on NBC and CBS College Sports.
ESPN Regional Television’s Big East Game of the Week remains the largest regional college football network in the nation reaching more than 46 million homes across the United States and encompassing 41 percent of the national television households.
The Big East Game of the Week is presently seen in 32 different states. Those games can also be picked up as part of ESPN’s GamePlan package or through the network’s broadband Internet service ESPN360.com.
