Bland concluded her trip to the NCAA Regionals in Tallahassee, Fla., by placing third in the 1,500m run (4:24.81), while Grandt took eighth in the 5,000m (16:35.83).
Bland and Grandt have qualified to compete at the NCAA Championships on June 11-14, at Des Moines, Iowa. Bland will race in the 1,500m run, while Grandt will only race in the 10,000m, after qualifying in that event, as well as the 5,000m.
“We were hoping that a couple more girls would earn at-large selections into the NCAA Championships field,” Head Coach Sean Cleary says. “But for Keri and Clara, this is a great opportunity to show what they can do against the nation’s best.”
