Men’s Soccer: La Guerre To Take Part In Conference

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia men’s soccer player Donald La Guerre has been chosen to attend the 2008 NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference which will be held May 25-29 in Orlando, Fla.
The conference will be held at Walt Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and gives student-athletes opportunities to enhance their leadership, communications, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Four candidates from each NCAA institution were nominated while 233 student-athletes from Division I, II, and III will attend the conference.
La Guerre played in six matches for the Mountaineers who finished the 2007 season with a 14-6-2 record, advanced to the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST tournament and reached the NCAA Sweet 16. The Mountaineers were ranked No. 13 in the final NSCAA/adidas Poll.
