Swimming: Mountaineers Complete Day One of NCAAs

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- The West Virginia University swim team completed day one of competition at the 2008 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
Sophomores Morgan Callaway, Kayla Andrews and junior Lindsey Largo represented the Mountaineers.
In the second race of the day Callaway and Largo finished in 31st and 49th place in the 500 free event. Callaway finished a time of 4:46.02, improving her time of 4:47.86 from the BIG EAST Championships, while Largo posted a time of 4:52.36.
In the last race of the day for the Mountaineers, Andrews posted time of 22.87 in the 50 free.
Competition will resume tomorrow March 21, at 11 a.m. with Largo and Callaway competing in the preliminary rounds of the 400 IM and 100 back.
