Women's Basketball: WVU No. 11 in Coaches' Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s women’s basketball team (18-3, 7-1) moved up one spot to No. 11 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Top 25 poll, released today.
The ranking ties for the highest in school history as the Mountaineers reached No. 11 in the March 1, 1992, AP Poll.
The Mountaineers received 468 points, 35 more points than it did last week at No. 12, after going 2-0 last week with wins over then-No. 4 Rutgers (63-54) and at Seton Hall (70-42). West Virginia stayed at No. 12 in the AP Poll.
Six other BIG EAST teams are ranked in the poll: No. 1 Connecticut, No. 7 Rutgers, No. 15 Pitt, No. 17 Notre Dame, No. 24 Syracuse and No. 25 DePaul.
