MEET RESULTS
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –Sophomore Chelsea Carrier posted two BIG EAST qualifying times in the 60-meter dash (7.82) and 60-meter hurdles (8.67), which was also an ECAC qualifying time, placing first in both events as the West Virginia University track and field team opened the 2008-09 indoor season today with the WVU Holiday Classic at the WVU Shell Building.
“I’m most pleased with the fitness of our long sprinters,” comments Coach Sean Cleary. “It looks like fall training has gone tremendously. We trained hard this fall and this is a low introduction to track before the team heads into finals. We’ve got a lot of work to do but today I’m happy with where we are.”
