Volleyball: Mountaineers Drop Three to Louisville

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to BIG EAST foe Louisville this afternoon in its final home match of the 2008 season.
The Cardinals (14-10, 10-3 BIG EAST) defeated the Mountaineers (7-19, 0-12) in a 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-20) match.
In her last match at the WVU Coliseum, senior middle blocker Lisa Hough led the team in kills with six, with a .308 hitting percentage.
Freshman setter Kari Post led in assists with 24, while sophomore libero Bonnie West posted 17 digs.
As a team the Mountaineers posted 29 kills, 33 digs and five total blocks.
The Mountaineers will close out their season next weekend on the road, with a 7 p.m. match against Marquette on Friday, Nov. 14, and a 2 p.m. match against Syracuse on Sunday, Nov. 16.
