MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Viginia's Pat White was named Big East player of the week, announced by the conference Monday.
White was chosen as BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after he had a hand in all five touchdowns, accounted for 322 yards of total offense and set NCAA and BIG EAST records in leading West Virginia to a 35-21 win at Louisville.
He ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the NCAA’s career leader for rushing yards by a quarterback (4,292 yards). White also completed 6-of-11 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
He has accounted for a BIG EAST-record 98 career touchdowns, passing former Syracuse great Donovan McNabb’s old mark of 96.
