Women's Basketball: WVU Takes on FIU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Nov. 21, 2008) – West Virginia University’s women’s basketball team (2-1) takes on Florida International (0-2) Saturday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
It marks the second-ever meeting between the two schools with WVU holding a 1-0 series advantage after a 58-49 victory in Miami, Fla., in 2005.
West Virginia is fresh off a 79-42 rout of Northeastern this past Tuesday while FIU is coming off a 51-43 setback at Jacksonville last night.
Sophomore guard Liz Repella, a Steubenville, Ohio, native, leads the Mountaineers with a 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game average. She is coming off her first career 20-point effort (23) and first career double-double (23 points, 14 rebounds) in the Northeastern game.
