Football: Award Winners for Rutgers Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding play in the 24-17 win against Rutgers this past Saturday in the BIG EAST Conference opener.

Offensive Champion – Ryan Stanchek, Jock Sanders; Defensive Champion – Mortty Ivy, Scooter Berry, Chris Neild; Special Teams Champion – Zac Cooper; Offensive Scout Champion – Joey Madsen; Defensive Scout Champion – Casey Vance; Special Teams Scout Champion – None.

The Mountaineers (3-2, 1-0 BIG EAST) host BIG EAST Conference opponent, Syracuse for Homecoming, this Saturday, Oct. 11 at Milan Puskar Stadium. The game is scheduled to kickoff at Noon and will be televised by ESPNU.
