MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Junior outside hitter Abby Raines led the Mountaineers with 10 kills and a .360 hitting percentage to defeat St. Francis, Pa., this evening at the DeGol Arena in Loretto, Pa.
The Mountaineers (7-16, 0-9 BIG EAST) defeated the Red Flash (8-17, 2-1 NEC) in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-16) match.
Senior middle blocker Tammy Wolf followed Raines with nine kills and .294 hitting percentage, while sophomore libero Bonnie West led in digs with 14.
Freshman setter Kari Post recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 16 assists and 10 digs.
As a team the Mountaineers posted 41 kills, 48 digs and four total team blocks.
WVU returns to BIG EAST action with a 2 p.m. match against Rutgers on Sunday, Nov. 2, at College Avenue Gymnasium in New Brunswick, N.J.
