Women's Soccer: WVU Holds No. 17 Ranking

MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team stayed in the nation’s top 25 collegiate this week, ranking as high as 17th.
The Mountaineers checked in at No. 17 in the latest Soccer Buzz poll and moved to No. 20 in National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas poll, and No. 21 by Soccer America.
West Virginia (8-2-5, 3-1-3) resumes BIG EAST Conference play this weekend with its final two home contests of the regular season. The Mountaineers battle 16th-ranked Georgetown (9-1-2, 4-1-0) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17. The Hoyas play host to Syracuse tomorrow afternoon before Friday’s meeting with WVU. West Virginia welcomes Villanova for a 1 p.m. televised match (WVPBS) on Sunday, Oct. 19.
