Football: WVU Moves Up to Fourth in Coaches' Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia moved up two spots in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll this week to fourth and the Mountaineers remained No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25, both released today.
It is the 28th consecutive week West Virginia has been nationally ranked and the 17th out of the last 19 weeks the Mountaineers have been ranked in the Top 10.
West Virginia (1-0) defeated Western Michigan 62-24 in the 2007 season opener at Milan Puskar Stadium and travels to Marshall (0-1) Saturday for a meeting with the Thundering Herd at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
Kickoff for the Friends of Coal Bowl is 11:10 am and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
