Volleyball: Mountaineers fall to Marshall

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to Marshall this evening in the Friends of Coal Blue/Green Classic at the Charleston Civic Center.
The Mountaineers, now 7-3 on the season, fell to the Herd (6-6) in a hard-fought 1-3 (28-30, 31-29, 24-30, 17-30) match.
Despite the loss, senior outside hitter Abby Tevis posted her sixth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 13 digs.
The Mountaineers will continue play in the Blue/Green Classic Saturday at 11:30 a.m., against Akron and at 5 p.m., against Pepperdine at the Charleston Civic Center.
