Women's Soccer: WVU Shoots Up The National Polls

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team moved its way up the national polls following a pair of wins at home over the weekend.
The Mountaineers earned a No. 14 ranking from Soccer Buzz, No. 18 from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas poll and No. 19 from Soccer America. WVU has now been ranked in at least one of the three major polls for 55 of the last 57 polling weeks.
WVU sophomore Mallory Beck earned BIG EAST goalkeeper of the week honors for her efforts in the Mountaineers 3-1 win over Rhode Island and a 1-0 win against No. 15 Penn State.
West Virginia will face its third ranked opponent in as many weekends this Friday with a match against third-ranked Texas A&M. The Mountaineers and Aggies will play in State College, Pa., on Friday, at 5 p.m.
