MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 2007-08 rifle schedule was announced today by head coach Jon Hammond and highlights some of the very best the Great American Rifle Conference has to offer. WVU will host powerhouses Army, Kentucky, the GARC regular season champion and NCAA defending national champion, Alaska-Fairbanks.
Last season, Hammond lead the rifle team to its first winning record (6-4) since 2003 in his first year as head coach.
“This season’s schedule is a tough one. We are in one of the strongest rifle conferences and we will face three teams that were NCAA contenders,” commented Hammond. “It will be a great test for us.”
