Football: Statement from Rich Rodriguez

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University football coach Rich Rodriguez said that he is aware that Ellis Lankster (DB/5-10/190/Jr./Whistler, Ala./Jones JC, MS) and J.T. Thomas (LB/6-2/220/r-Fr./Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Ely HS) were involved in an off-campus situation Saturday night, and is gathering facts at this time before making the final determination about the situation.

“I am aware that Ellis and J.T. have been involved in an off-campus situation,” Rodriguez said. “I am investigating at this time and will make the determination about their status within the football program after all the facts are in.”

Rodriguez has no further comment at this time.
