Gymnastics: Gymnasts OK After Accident

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia senior gymnasts Aimee Brown and Janáe Cox were in a car accident on Friday evening in Huntington, W.Va., en route to Indiana for Easter break. The car was totaled but the gymnasts sustained only minor injuries.
Brown and Cox stayed the night in St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington before Cox’s father, Rick Cox, picked the girls up to return them to Morgantown.
The gymnasts’ status for this weekend’s NCAA Southeast Regional competition will be determined upon their arrival and evaluation.
West Virginia hosts the 2007 NCAA Southeast Regional at 6 p.m., on Saturday, April 14, at the WVU Coliseum. Tickets are $10 each when purchased in advance and are available by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office at 1-800-WVU-GAME. Tickets are also available online at www.WVUGAME.com.
