MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s track and field team will compete in the Penn Relays on April 26-27, at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa. The meet is the last regular season competition before the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship.
The Mountaineers travel to the Relays after hosting the Mountaineer/Mohigan Invitational on April 21. WVU took 10 events at the Invitational and boasted 14 conference qualifiers, five ECAC qualifiers and one NCAA Regional qualifier.
One of this weekend’s more interesting races will be the shuttle hurdles race, an event the Mountaineers have not participated in all season. Freshman Kristen Loughry, sophomore Jamillah Nock, and seniors Jessica Czaikowski and Abbie Stechschulte will compete for WVU.
Following the Relays, the Mountaineers will return to Morgantown before traveling to the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship. The meet will be held May 5-6 in Storrs, Conn.
