MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University's women's basketball team is ranked No. 23 in AP voter Mechelle Voepel's preseason poll released earlier this week on ESPN.com.
WVU finished the 2006-07 campaign with a 21-11 record including an 11-5 BIG EAST record, good for fourth in the league. The Mountaineers return all five starters that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. WVU also returns the services of senior Meg Bulger who has missed the last year and a half with two knee injuries.
