MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University rowing team travels to Camden, N.J., on Saturday, March 14, to compete at the Knecht Cup.
The two-day event on the Cooper River annually features over 50 collegiate rowing teams including Connecticut and Penn State as well as West Coast teams such as Gonzaga and UC Davis.
This year the Mountaineers are slated to compete in four events at the Knecht Cup. The varsity eight and junior varsity eight boats will make their third regatta appearance of the season, while the varsity four and junior varsity four boats will be competing for the first time in 2007.
This will be WVU’s sixth trip to the Knecht Cup since 2002. The varsity eight boat took first at the regatta in 2003.
