Women's Basketball: No. 13 WVU at Duquesne

GAME NOTES
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University’s nationally ranked women’s basketball team (7-1) heads to Pittsburgh, Pa., to take on Duquesne (5-3), Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. in non-conference action at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
The game will mark the 39th meeting between the two schools. No. 13/13 WVU has won seven-straight in the series, including six consecutive under the direction of coach Mike Carey. West Virginia defeated the Dukes 77-42 last season at the WVU Coliseum.
All-time WVU is 13-5 at Duquesne and has won three straight at the Palumbo Center. The matchup will also mark WVU’s third tilt with a member of the Atlantic-10 this season. The Mountaineers previously defeated Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I., 80-47, last month and knocked off St. Bonaventure, 64-37, last week in Boca Raton, Fla.
Four Mountaineers are averaging double figures in scoring so far this season: senior center Olayinka Sanni (15.5 ppg), senior guard LaQuita Owens (13.5 ppg), senior guard Meg Bulger (12.8 ppg) and senior forward Chakhia Cole (11.0 ppg).
