MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- A statement from Larry Aschebrook, Executive Director of Development/Assistant Athletic Director:
“The Mountaineer Athletic Club is dedicated to providing support to our coaches and student-athletes, both academically and in competition, in their combined efforts to pursue excellence. The Mountaineer Athletic Club would like to thank you for your past and present support. While change is never easy, it offers a time and opportunity for growth. Now more than ever it is of paramount importance to continue supporting West Virginia University student-athletes as they represent our state, community and university both on and off the athletic playing field.
“Our athletic teams kicked off another successful school year this fall with numerous notable achievements, including Big East Championships from our football, women’s soccer and cross country teams. Seven Mountaineer teams are currently ranked in the nation’s top 25. In order to continue to compete at this high level, it is critical for our great fans across the country to continue their support of West Virginia athletics.”
