Women's Basketball: WVU Takes on Presbyterian

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s nationally ranked women’s basketball team (8-1), takes on Presbyterian (1-8) Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
The contest will be the first part of a doubleheader with the WVU men’s team who is taking on UMBC at 4 p.m.
The No. 13/13 Mountaineers and Blue Hose will be meeting for the first time. WVU is fresh off a 94-61 win at Duquesne on Dec. 7 where five Mountaineers reached double figures in scoring, including senior center Olayinka Sanni’s career-high 29 points.
Saturday’s doubleheader will also feature a food drive where fans can bring a non-perishable food item to the WVU Coliseum and receive a coupon good for one free ticket to a future women’s basketball contest. Collection points for the drive will be at the blue, gold and red gates. Food will also be collected at the men’s game.
