Men's Soccer: Wright Named 2nd Team All-American

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men’s soccer player Andy Wright was named to the 2007 CollegeSoccerNews.com All-America second team today.
The midfielder closed his senior campaign with six goals, six assists and 18 points. Wright earned BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year honors at the end of the regular season and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Men’s Division I all-Northeast Region first team yesterday.
WVU closed the 2007 season with a record of 14-6-2, advanced to the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST tournament and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 for just the second time in program history. WVU earned a No. 15 seed in the NCAA tournament and received a first round bye for the second consecutive year. The Mountaineers finished the regular season in third place in the BIG EAST Blue Division, with a conference record of 7-3-1.
