Swimming: Day Two of Georgia Invitational

DAY TWO RESULTS
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- The West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams combined remain in fifth place after two days of competition at the Georgia Invitational in Athens, Ga.
The men’s team is in fifth place with 194 points, while the women are in fourth with 286 points.
The women’s 200 medley relay team started the day off with an impressive second place finish with a time of 1:42.54. The men’s 200 medley relay team followed with a sixth place finish with a time of 1:31.91.
Sophomore Zoltan Povazsay also had a fantastic showing with a second place finish in the men’s 200 free (1:37.59). On the women’s side sophomore Stephine Shupe led the Mountaineers with a fourth place finish in the women’s 100 butterfly (54.97), while sophomore Morgan Callaway finished in seventh place in the 100 back (56.82).
The Mountaineers will wrap up the Georgia Invitational on Sunday at the Gabrielsen Natatorium. Preliminary action is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
