Track: 2008 Schedule Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University first-year track and field coach Sean Cleary today announced the team’s 2007-08 schedule.
“We feel this schedule allows for every athlete in the program to participate in competitions at their ability level,” Cleary says. “I’m anxious for the season to get started next week.”
The indoor season gets underway next week on Dec. 8, when West Virginia will serve as host of the annual Holiday Classic at the WVU Shell Building. The Mountaineers also have the State Farm Games at the Shell Building on Feb. 2. The BIG EAST Championships will take place on Feb. 23-24, at the New York Armory in New York City.
The outdoor season starts on March 28-29, when WVU travels to the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. West Virginia’s only home meet of the outdoor season, the WVU Invitational, will come on April 19. The team will compete in the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia on April 24-26, and the BIG EAST Championships on May 2-4, on Villanova’s Jumbo Elliott Track in Philadelphia.
