MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding play in the 66-21 win against Connecticut this past Saturday.
Offensive Champion – Pat White, Noel Devine; Defensive Champion – Scooter Berry; Special Teams Champion – Trippe Hale, Vaughn Rivers; Offensive Scout Champion – Jayson Jackson; Defensive Scout Champion – Derek Knight; Special Teams Scout Champion – Zach Flynt, John Woodruff; Hammer Award – None.
The Mountaineers (No. 1 USA Today Coaches Poll/No. 2 AP) (10-1, 5-1 BIG EAST Conference) welcome BIG EAST Conference rival Pitt (4-7, 2-4 BIG EAST Conference) to Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium to compete on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7:45 p.m., in the 100th edition of the “Backyard Brawl.” The game will be televised on ESPN.
