Rowing: WVU Wraps Up Fall Season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team will travel to Fairfax, Va., this weekend for its final race of the fall season. The squad is set to compete at the Head of the Occoquan on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The Mountaineers competed in the annual Head of the Ohio regatta, in Pittsburgh, Pa., earlier this fall in their only other race of the fall season. In the varsity four race, the Mountaineers team A and team B finished in third and 14th place. Team A crossed the finish line at17:28.5, while team B finished at 19:15.3. In the varsity eight race, the Mountaineers came in seventh place with a time of 16:34.
The annual Head of the Occoquan is a 3.2 mile race held at Sandy Run Regional Park, in Fairfax, Va. Results from all of tomorrow's races can be found a www.rowobc.org/hotoresults.html
