Women's Basketball: WVU Plays Host to Cornell

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The No. 19/20 West Virginia University women's basketball team (2-0) plays host to the Cornell Big Red (1-1) Sunday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers and the Big Red, out of the Ivy League, will be meeting for the first time on the hardwood. In fact, the matchup will be the first for the Mountaineers against a team from the Ivy League.
WVU is fresh of an 81-29 victory over St. Francis, Pa., Friday evening at the WVU Coliseum. With the win WVU improved to 34-1 all-time against against non-conference opponents at home under Mike Carey.
Against the Red Flash Friday, senior center Olayinka Sanni scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. It marked her second straight double-double to open the season.
