Volleyball: WVU Drops Three to Syracuse

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The West Virginia University volleyball team dropped three matches to Syracuse this afternoon at the WVU Coliseum.
The Orange (17-10, 5-4) defeated the Mountaineers (12-12, 3-7) in a 3-0 (30-27, 30-25, 30-27) match.
Junior middle blocker Tammy Wolf led the Mountaineers in kills today with 12, while also maintaining a .350 hitting percentage. Junior Lisa Hough followed with nine kills, while freshman Bonnie West recorded 18 digs.
Senior setter Kailee Goold posted 34 assists on the day giving her 949 on the season. Goold, is currently ranked fifth on WVU’s all-time assist list with 3,062 and is just 54 shy of moving into fourth place.
The Mountaineers will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 28, as they take on Marquette in a 2 p.m. match at the WVU Coliseum.
