Volleyball: Mountaineers To Face Robert Morris

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team will travel to Moon Township, Pa., on Wednesday, Oct. 3, to take on Robert Morris in a 7 p.m. match, at the Charles L. Sewall Center.
The last time WVU met Robert Morris was in 2006 at the WVU Coliseum when the Colonials defeated the Mountaineers 3-1. The Mountaineer lead the all-time series 14-3.
The Colonials are 10-6 on the season after falling to Delaware State and Maryland-Eastern Shore this past weekend at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Tournament. Robert Morris is led by freshman Amanda Graham who tallied 59 kills, five aces and seven blocks in four matches last week to receive honors as the North East Conference Rookie of the Week.
The Mountaineers (9-7, 1-3) are coming off losses to Connecticut and No. 18 St. John’s. Leading the Mountaineers this season are seniors Kailee Goold and Abby Tevis. Tevis, an outside hitter for the Mountaineers, has recorded 221 kills and 183 digs this season. Setter Goold, is currently ranked number five in all-time assist with 2,735 in her career. Goold currently leads the Mountaineers with 622 assists on the season.
