Women’s Soccer: Maintains Top 25 Ranking

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team remained in the nation’s Top 25 following a 1-1 weekend in conference play. The Mountaineers defeated Providence 3-0 and fell to Connecticut 2-0.
West Virginia, now 9-5-1 on the season, checks in at No. 25 in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas poll and Soccer Buzz poll. WVU dipped from their No. 21/22 positions last week.
The Mountaineers completes its four-game road swing next weekend with a pair BIG EAST contests. WVU travels to Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 19, and to Villanova on Sunday, Oct. 21.
