Men's Soccer: WVU Plays Host To Navy

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team (8-4, 4-3) will play host to Navy on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Statdium. Live stats, provided by Gametracker and live video will be available at MSNsportsNet.com. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers and Navy have met a total of six times, last meeting on the field in 1993. The Midshipmen hold a 3-2-1 all-time advantage over WVU dating back to 1969.
WVU went 2-0 last weekend as it defeated Pitt 3-1 on Oct. 10, and Georgetown 1-0 in overtime on Oct. 13. Freshman goalkeeper Zach Johnson recorded his seventh shutout in eight wins while sophomore Alex Erwin scored his first collegiate goal in the 3-1 win over Pitt. Senior Andy Wright scored three goals in two matches, including the overtime game-winner against Georgetown.
