Volleyball: Mountaineers Fall To USF

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to BIG EAST foe USF this evening, in Tampa, Fla.
The Mountaineers (11-9, 2-5) were defeated 3-1 (23-30, 11-30, 30-27, 15-30).
Senior outside hitter Abby Tevis led the Mountaineers against USF (11-5, 3-3) with 17 kills and 10 digs, while senior setter Kailee Goold posted 40 assists and 10 digs.
The Mountaineers will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 14, against Georgetown (4-16, 0-5) at the McDonough Gym. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
