Volleyball: WVU Set For BIG EAST Road Trip

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team will travel to Tampa, Fla., on Friday, Oct. 12, to take on USF in a 7 p.m. match, at the Corral.
The Mountaineers (11-5, 2-4) and Bulls (10-5, 2-3) are tied 1-1 in the all-time series that began in 2005. Last season the Bulls defeated the Mountaineers 3-1 at the WVU Coliseum.
On Sunday, Oct. 14, the Mountaineers will then travel to Washington, D.C., to take on Georgetown (4-16, 0-5) at 2 p.m., at the McDonough Gym.
The Hoyas have a 15-9 advantage over the Mountaineers in the all-time series record that started in 1978. Last season the Mountaineers swept the Hoyas in a 3-0 match, in Morgantown.
Leading the Mountaineers this season are seniors Abby Tevis and Kailee Goold. Outside hitter for the Mountaineers Tevis, has recorded 273 kills and 210 digs this season, while Goold has posted 736 sets and 29 service aces.
