MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The West Virginia University women's basketball team (8-7, 0-3) travels to Chicago, Ill., to take on DePaul (11-4, 1-1) at 8 p.m. (est) at the McGrath center.
The series, which began in 1981 and was renewed last season, is tied at 1-1 after WVU defeated the then No. 11 Blue Demons 82-70 at the WVU Coliseum last year.
Both teams enter the contest coming off a league loss; DePaul fell at home to No. 18 Marquette 82-79 while WVU comes off a 70-64 double-overtime loss at Villanova.
After the DePaul matchup, WVU returns to the WVU Coliseum for the first of a three-game homestand when it hosts Providence, Saturday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m.
