MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving team will host Georgetown and St. Bonaventure in a tri-meet on Sunday, Jan. 14, at noon in the WVU Natatorium.
This will be the last home meet for the Mountaineers this season. Additionally, this will be the last time that six student-athletes compete for WVU in Morgantown. Those seniors are: Chelsea Ademski, Elizabeth Cleary, Nathan Furman, David Matthews, Anne Tierney and Kyle Williams.
WVU is coming off a BIG EAST showdown with Pitt on Jan. 6 that saw the men’s squad (6-0, 2-0) dunk the Panthers, 159-141, and the women (4-2, 0-2) fall, 169-131. Last Saturday’s win marked the first time the men, currently ranked 20th in Swimming World Magazine’s Dual Meet Top 25 Poll, defeated Pitt in over 17 years.
The Mountaineers will next travel to Cincinnati to battle the Bearcats on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. in the Keating Aquatic Center.
