Football: Blue Ribbon Tabs Seven

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Seven West Virginia University football players were included in the Blue Ribbon College Football preseason all-Big East team, announced today.
Making the team on the offensive side were senior wide receiver Brandon Myles, senior center Dan Mozes, senior offensive guard Jeremy Sheffey and sophomore running back Steve Slaton.
On the defensive side, junior defensive tackle Keilen Dykes, senior linebacker Kevin McLee and senior safety Eric Wicks were recognized.
Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm was projected as the offensive player of the year, Pitt defensive back Darrelle Revis was tabbed the defensive player of the year, and Louisville’s Deantwan Whitehead was named newcomer of the year.
West Virginia led the way with seven picks, followed by Louisville (six) and Rutgers (four). Blue Ribbon will be available in newstands in early July. It can also can be ordered through the web site www.blueribbonyearbook.com or by calling 1-866-805-BALL.
Meanwhile, the priority seating deadline for West Virginia University 2006 football season tickets is Thursday, June 1.
Only renewal orders from 2005 season ticket holders and Mountaineer Athletic Club members are currently being accepted.
All new season tickets orders have been halted until the renewal process is complete. If season tickets are available after the priority deadline, sales could resume later this summer.
