Track: Davis Takes Eighth in Steeplechase

GREENSBORO, N.C. – West Virginia senior track star Susan Davis placed eighth in the steeplechase at the NCAA East Regional meet on May 27, in Greensboro, N.C.

"I am thrilled that Susan was able to run so well after she sustained an injury at the ECAC Championships," distance coach Sean Cleary said. "I hope her time is good enough to qualify her for nationals."

Davis finished the event in 10:26.03 to give West Virginia its only point of the weekend and a tie for 48th place.

Senior Jen Hall was the only other Mountaineer in competition today at the meet. Hall placed 10th with a height of 3.81-meters in the pole vault.
