Rifle: Three Shooters Recognized

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 3, 2006) – Two members of the West Virginia University rifle team received recognition by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association.
Sophomore Natasha Dinsmore and junior Robin Glebes were named All-Academic by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association. To qualify for the award, shooters must attain either a cumulative or fall 2005 semester grade point average of at least 3.2.
Dinsmore is majoring in animal and veterinary science and Glebes is a chemical engineering major.
Junior Brian Launer was also named Most Valuable Shooter for the 2005-06 season as voted by his teammates. Launer averaged a smallbore score of 577.6 and a 1153.5 two-gun aggregate score during the season, both of which are new school season records for the 60-shot course of fire that has been used for the past three years.
