Women's Soccer: WVU Completes Spring With Win

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's soccer team closed out its spring season with a 2-1 win over Ohio State this past Saturday.

Both of the Mountaineers' goals came from the leg of rising junior Ashley Banks.

WVU had a very successful spring, winning all of its individual matches and claiming the championship in each of the two tournaments in which it played.

The 2006 season will begin on August 25 when the Mountaineers face Richmond in the opening match of the James Madison Invitational in Harrionsburg, Va.
