Men's Soccer: WVU to Host Akron Wednesday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University closes out its spring exhibition schedule on Wednesday, April 19, against national powerhouse Akron at the WVU practice soccer field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Admission to the game is free to all fans.
The Mountaineers and Zips faced off on Nov. 23, 2005, in the second round of the NCAA tournament with Akron winning 5-0. UA advanced to the round of eight before being knocked out by eventual national champion Maryland on penalty kicks.
WVU returns 10 of 11 starters from its 2005 NCAA tournament team.
West Virginia has put together a successful spring thus far, already claiming wins over the U-17 National Team, Central Florida and Tampa.
